Intruder Down

I had an eventful day yesterday. Started out with more intruders in the back yard, not the underground ones, these flew in. They pranced around like they belonged there. I showed them, I chased two of them off, but one thought he was special and tried to come back. I snagged him out of the sky much to the dismay of his cohorts who sat up in the tree yelling at me. See cats are not all that. The two biped puppies told on me and mom tossed my trophy that I was so proud of, over the fence like yesterdays poop.

Mom had a migraine for most of the day yesterday, so I spent the nice day outside with the two snitches. When it got a little warm, they went in, but I toughed it out, in my fur coat, to see if I could catch another intruder. It seems they have learned their lesson… for now.

When dad came home, I went inside, and quickly found my nice cool spot on my bed (love seat), and watched dad and the snitches played the 360 together. I drifted off to sleep after that.

Yesterday was a great day, though the two biped puppies did not come out till later in the afternoon. Dad setup a sprinkler over the top of the top of the trampoline that looked like a hose with a lot of little snakes on it. Josh and Meagan had a blast, though I can not understand their fascination with a bath… I hate them!

Dad went out and checked on his lotus flower today, but it still has not bloomed. I guess he has never heard that a watched cat never gets treed!

Have a dog day!

My Weekend

The weekend started out great, for me anyway. After the puppies went to bed Dad stayed up and played on the xbox. I sat beside him and let him scratch my head in-between COD2 matches. Mom and dad worked outside some in the front flower garden and the pond, I stayed on the porch and watched from the cool shade, like good ole southern dog should. Dad is all excited about a flower he is growing the pond, some kind of lotus what not. I can’t eat it, and it can’t pet me so I don’t care.

I spent more time watching the back yard for those underground intruders. I dug up a few tunnels, but no luck on catching one…. Yet!

Mom and dad stressed me out a little bit this weekend, they did some major furniture rearranging. This made me nervous, because the last time they did this, they had another puppy! But my furry mind was set at ease; they were only moving the train table to the shop in order to clear some room in the play area. Though if I know mom, she will want to paint and get some more furniture now. Well that is all for now I will try to paw out more in the morning.

I spent most of my day today outside protecting the back yard from intruders. The first intruder was Terminix. He left a note for mom and dad saying they did a termite inspection, but dad wondered how good of a job they could do when I would not let them in the back yard. I guess it is those new termites that only attack half of the house.

The second intruder I am having a harder time with. These come in from under the fence from the woods. They stay underground around the shop, and I know they are there because I can smell them. I bark at them and dig up their tunnels, and it drives dad crazy, but this is my house (thumping my paw on my chest). I have caught several of these intruders but they keep coming, so being the loyal dog that I am, I must stay diligent.

I tried the stick method to get a self picture. I positioned dads camera on the coffee table that is in front of my bed. I used a stick to set the timer, and jumped up on my bed and laid down. It took several shots, but this is the best one out of the bunch.

Another Day another Bone.

Yesterday turned out to be another good day in the life of this dog. Dad fed me some breakfast and then went off to work as normal, late! After a quick trip to the bathroom part of the back yard, I spent the morning keeping an eye, ear and nose out for intruders. Mom took Meagan to her art camp this morning, where she is taking several classes including Art sampler, Chinese brush painting, IQ music, and photography. Meagan must have had some kind of fun, because she called the grandparents and told them all about it.

While Meagan was in art camp, mom took Josh to an eye doctor appointment. I can’t understand why he came back in such a good mood, knowing what they do me when I go to the vet. Maybe it was that side trip to Kripy Kreme they made... but I overheard mom tell dad that her eyes have gotten a little worse, and Joshs a little better.

Mom and the puppies were back home before it got hot outside, so I got to enjoy the nice cool air of the house. I ended my day laying on the couch and letting mom scratch my head while she read a book, and dad played Call of Duty 2 on the 360.

I need to start posting some pictures, but I am having trouble with the camera. I will try to post some as soon as I figure out a way to push that little button with my big paw. Maybe if I got a stick or something…

First Blog

Good morning everyone, at least at the time I paw this out. My name is Max, I am the proud dog of a happy couple John and Kim and their two other puppies (biped) Josh and Meagan. I am an old long haired corgi mix, who now has a lot of time on his paws, so I thought I would start a blog. I figured why not, everybody else has one.

My first story…. I wondered up to Kim’s mom and dads house one day, and stuck around till Kim showed up. John told her not to pet me, but she did anyway. It was at that point that I reached out with by big puppy eyes and took a snip at her heart. John knew he was beat at that point, and they were mine. That night was my first night with my new parents, after a quick run to Petsmart of course.

Well time to go and bark at the other dogs, I will paw out some more later.
