Back to School

All is quiet now at home. Well at least during the day. The two biped puppies are now back in school, so Mom and I have the house to our self. She has even been taking me for walks down the street in the morning before it gets to hot outside. This way when the temperature gets in the triple digits in the afternoon, I am just sitting in the nice cool house watching Mom clean.

I have a good life. Well at least until the tail stompers get home.

NYC - Day 8

After dealing with the unorganized, rude and unprofessional US Airways employees at the LaGuardia Airport, Mom, Dad and the biped puppies made it home today! They landed about 5:30 and then after getting their luggage, they hauled tail to Josh and Meagan's open house at the school. They split up, Mom and Meagan headed to her new class, and Dad and Josh headed to his. They made it just in time, to talk very quickly to the new teachers before they closed the school.

I think the biped puppies will enjoy their school year. I know I will enjoy the quiet and alone time with mom.

NYC - Day 6

Dad had to be at work today at two in the morning, and did not get off work till about two, so not much was done today as far as site seeing goes. However the this did give mom a chance to rest up and the kids a chance to swim.

Mom and Dad packed up the kids and took them to see the Simpson's movie. They got a big kick out of it.

NYC - Day 5

Dad had to work some today, so they took it easy today and went shopping. They headed a north east a bit, and went to a shopping mall called the Palisades. Kim picked up several things as did Josh and Meagan. But they really hit the fan when the found the Lego store!

They were putting in a new store for Orange County Choppers, and had two motorcycles in the window. One was a New York Yankees themed bike and the other was built for the make a wish foundation.

NYC - Day 4

Once again Mom, Dad and the kids hit it early. This time they headed down the south tip of Manhattan. They started with a walk down Wall street. From there they walked along the pier to the Staten Island Ferry.

The Staten Island Ferry goes by the Statue of Liberty, so the bipeds got to see the symbol that so many immigrants longed to see. On the ferry return trip they got a great view of the NYC skyline.

After the ferry trip, they took a stroll through Battery park. Here they saw street vendors and street artist selling their goods. From Battery Park they headed North up Broadway. After a bite to eat for lunch, the kids got an ice cream and mom and dad tried a Gellato. And they fell in love with the icy goodness. They also stopped by the site of the World Trade Center. While moving the experience was cheapened by all of the street vendors who were hocking their cheap merchandise.

They continued up Broadway to City Hall park. After a quick rest they continued on hitting a few stores on the way then calling it a day.

NYC - Day 3

The family hit it hard and early today. They took the train to Penn station, then started their tour of NYC on foot. Not counting all of the stops they walked for about 5 miles.

First stop was the Empire State Building. The biped puppies while were in awe with the size of the building. They were more impressed with the three story Build A Bear! Meagan used some of her money to build a new stuffed puppy dog named "Crystal".

The next stop was St. Patrick's Cathedral. They only looked around but there was a Mass in session, so they did not stay long.

They then went into FAO Schwarz. The kids were amazed at the all of life sized stuffed animals. But then they saw the floor piano demo, and Meagan wanted to try it. She got inline and ended up going with three guys in their 20's. Meagan took off running slid down the keys, and they all yelled sweet, and then all four took turns sliding down the keys!

They also quickly hit Trump Tower, the Disney store, Rockefeller Center, an M & M store, the Neintendo store, and Rockefeller Center.

They continued down Broadway till they hit times square. There Josh lost his mind when they walked into a 4 story Toys R Us. After that, they headed back to Penn Station, and then back to the hotel for some much needed rest.

NYC - Day 2

Mom, Dad and the biped puppies headed into NYC and visited the Museum of Natural History. It was a rainy day and the temperature dropped to 57 today, so it was a good day to spend in the museum.

Here is a shot of Josh and Meagan in front of the statue that they saw in the movie Night At the Museum.

Dad also found a statue that he thought would look great on his desk at work!

NYC - Day 1

Mom, Dad and the two biped puppies went to New York City today. They flew into Laguardia and a 20 mile drive turned into close to an hour and half. Dad said that NYC was on his list of places where he would like to visit, but would not to want to live.

They spent the day driving around the hotel, and the few towns close by to see what all is close. Dad was just thankful he had the GPS!

I spent the day hot part of the day in the shop building where it was nice cool.

Day 10 - Their Home!

Well Mom and Dad along with the two biped puppies came home today. I was so glad to see them. Josh gave me some fresh water in my bowl and I just drank it all. I do not like outside water you know.

Seeing as Mom and Dad were up at the equivalent of a quarter till Three this morning, they crashed on the couches for a couple of hours while the other puppies played video games. I dozed off on the floor with a smile on my face.

Its good the have my pack back.

Day 9 - More Sight Seeing

Mom and Dad hit the Mall early this morning trying to get out before it got hot. First up was the Lincoln Memorial. From there they headed to the Korean War Monument, then hit up the Einstein statue.

From there they started hitting the Art Museums. After a quick lunch in one of the Art Museums they headed back to the hotel by way of several small shops.
