I did not feel well at all yesterday, I got sick several times, and could not hold anything down. They setup a vet appointment for me, man I hate going to the vet. Dad tried to get me to come inside last night, but I thought it better to sleep outside. He came out side and tried to give me a little bit of water, but I was not interested. He wet my nose and sat outside with me for a bit till the bugs drove him inside. Sometimes its good to have fur!

This morning I played a trick on Dad. He got up early and checked on me, and I was still under the window. He knocked on the window but I would not move. Then dad ran outside to see if I was ok, but I was not there. He was so confused it was great. Mom found saw me laying in the grass, and dad ran over to check on me a bit relieved but confused. Dad soon found that I was not there either, for I had passed a few hours earlier.

Dad and mom broke down out side, and then had the toughest job so far. They had to break the news of my death to the biped puppies. They broke the news and all of them broke down. Josh came out and pet me one more time. They had a small service for me a few hours later, it was very sweet. Dad threw in my squeakie toy, Meagan wrote me a great letter about all the things we did.

Mom, Dad and the biped puppies were a great family, and I enjoyed my time with them. I proved to Mom and Dad that they would be great parents. I showed Josh what a furry friend could be, and how to handle loss. I proved to Meagan that dogs are great pets, and can be just as loving as a cat. She like the others are Learning how to handle loss.

This is my last blog, as I have other things to do now. Dad will have get off his rump and start his own now.

Rocket Launch.

Dad has been working with the biped puppies over the last week helping them make some small model rockets. Well today dad and mom packed up the rockets the kids and even me and we went to fly them. Meagan and Josh had their rocket land close by, and was able to run and get it. Mom's rocket she called "Big Mama" landed a few houses down. Dad few his rocket and landed each of them a few houses away. One of them they never found.

We all had fun, but I think it was a bit much for me, I don't feel so well, and am a very tired pup.

Mothers Day

For Moms special day, Mom wanted to go Pinnacle Mountain for the day. I stayed at home and Mom and Dad took the biped puppies to go and climb up the 1,011 foot mountain. Mom made it most of the way, but started to get a migraine near the top. She found a nice warm spot in the sun and rested while Dad took the biped puppies to the top. Dad took lots of pictures and you can find them on our picture page (link on the right)

On the way home the stopped and picked up some steaks, and Dad grilled Mom a great Mothers Day dinner. This was the best part of the day, because I got the scraps!

Now we will just see how sore they are in the morning.

Wow...

Dad and Mom picked up the biped puppies and then went to get groceries. They stopped and got a bite to eat (and did not bring me anything back). However they came back talking to the kids about parenting.

Evidently there were two couples in the restaurant who was letting their kids run a bit wild. One kid was running laps in the restaurant, Dad resisted the urge to trip the kid as he ran by.

The other kid, while technically in his seat, was allowed to to stand in his chair and bounce up and down while screaming at the top of his lungs. While the parents had apparently evolved the ability to tune him out, the rest of the patrons and staff had not. The dad would tell the child to sit down and cut it out, but due to the fact he never followed through, the child would return to his actions.

The biped puppies brought up the fact that would have been in a bunch of trouble if they had acted that way. Mom then explained that as parents it is our job to ensure that their actions do not get to that point. Dad further explained if two adults have two kids, and each kid runs out in the street after being told not to. Each adult then explains to their own child the dangers of running out into the street, but they do it again. One adult spanks his child, while the other talks to the child again. Mom then asked what child was more likely to run out in the street. Each child answered that the child who did not get a spanking.

The kids then understood that some times parents need to be well.... parents.

This is what Dad wanted to do...

Weekend Recap.

The weekend started a bit early, as dad took off for an Dr Apt on Friday. When the biped puppies got out of school mom and dad picked them up and took them to see the movie "Iron Man". They each said that it was the best movie they had seen in a while, even Mom and Meagan enjoyed it proving it is just not a guys flick.

Saturday Mom went down with a migraine, and then Dad started to get one when he and the bi-puppies were out to get a bite for lunch. Dad waited out the vision issues in the parking lot, then drove home with the lunch. They ate lunch then I watched the puppies while Dad slept off the migraine on the couch and mom went back to bed. Dad was ok by late afternoon, but just sore.

Sunday Mom was still down, so Dad took Josh and Meagan over to Granny and Grandpa's house for the afternoon to play with Ethan and Emma. They had a blast.

Dad now has some catching up to do on outside work now with the yard, garden, and pond duties stacking up. Maybe he will work on them today after work, so I can sit on the porch and watch. I will keep my paws crossed.

Spring Work

Dad has been working hard out side over the last few days. Mom, due to her headaches this weekend, was immune to dads forced labor. However he forced the biped puppies out side to help him. He even pushed me out of the door. I did however get to sit on the porch and watch the work.

They were able to shopvac clean out the stream... again. They placed mulch around multiple rose bushes, and all through the newly planted flower bed and around the Lotus pots. They still have some to go, but after it is all said and done, they will have used 30 cubic feet of mulch.

Other tasks that were completed was pepper and herb plants were planted that they will be able to enjoy later this year. They also reworked a section of French drain that was between the stream and the house. Dad also cut the yard, so that meant Josh and Meagan had to pick up toys out of the back.

Yesterday ended with a water fight in the front yard with the water hose between Dad and the puppies. I kept my distance because that is just to close to a bath for me.

All in all a lot work was accomplished dad complained of sore mussels but seemed to work them out last night playing on the xbox.

The lotus's are just now breaking the surface of the water, and frogs and lizards have been seen. Dad will start snapping pictures as things start to green up a bit more.

Floods in Mo

Grandpa sent some pictures of the water levels in Mammoth Springs. This shot is from 63 looking up stream to the waterfall. I will have dad dig up a older shot of the waterfall so you can compare the two.

Spring Work

Dad and I worked outside with the pond yesterday. Well… truth be told, he worked and I supervised his work while laying in the shade of the front porch, like a good old southern dog. Meagan even came out to help out some, but could not resist the evil glow of the tv for long.

Dad worked mainly on the stream. He first vacuumed out all of the muck from the stream bed with the shopvac. Dad said he wanted to change it up a bit, so he worked the rest of the time affixing a pot to the head of the stream for the water to flow out of. He did it setup, but still has to finish up the rock work.

Mom was hurting some, and could not stand the sunlight, but she did do her part, by laying out the plants where she wants them. Dad will put them in the ground when he gets some time.

We also saw a friend from last year. A lizard was seen sunning its self on a butterfly bush. I wanted to play with him, but dad would not let me, so I sat on the porch and wined while dad shot a photo of him.

It got hot for me, so I went in with the kids to watch some TV, and let dad continue the work till it got dark. Serves him right for not letting me eat the lizard.

Storms

Today the family went over to Jason's house to help clean after last Thursdays tornado damage. I stayed at the house so I would not get any glass or nails in my paws. No one was hurt in the storm, just some damage to the house.
Dad snapped a few pictures, the one I placed here is a reason why you take shelter in a room with no windows. The other is a house in Jason's neighborhood. This was Jason's bedroom on the opposite side of the room from the window it came from. I uploaded the rest of the pictures to my photo site, link on the right.

First Communion

Today was a big day in our home. Meagan had her First Communion today. The work started yesterday. I had to have a bath, and Mom started work on the massive amounts of food. Then today Mom and Dad's parents, and Mammaw (Mom's Grandmother) came out and went to mass to see Meagan take her First Communion. Then they all came home for some great food and great conversation.

I spent all of my time looking for scraps.

Easter

Today Mom and Dad took the biped puppies over to Dads mothers house for Easter. They first went to Mass, then started working on Lunch. Jason and his family came over as well and they enjoyed great food.

After lunch the kids enjoyed their Easter basket and looking for some eggs. Mom started hurting very badly, to the point of tears, so they had to rush home. Had I been there I could have licked her and made her feel better... but I stayed home and watched the house.

More pictures of the Easter trip can be found under the pictures link.

Its a Girl.

I have a new biped cousin this morning. Dads brother and sister in law had their baby girl last night, just before midnight. Mya Danielle was 5 lbs 1 oz and 19 inches long. Mom and Dad have not seen it yet, but reports are that she has a head of black hair. I will post pictures as soon as I get my paws on some. Mom and Dad are going to take the two biped puppies up to see the baby after they get out of school.

They said that I have to stay home, but I am ok with that because they would not let me lick her so whats the point?
