Sick People

The dogs in the next yard tried to make fun of me this morning. They called me smelly dog. Was not a big deal to me at all. I just marked my territory along the fence and went back inside. I know they will have to face the dreaded bath one day as well, and I will return the favor.

While Meagan and Josh are doing well, Mom is still down with a headache, and Dad is home today from work with a sore throat and running a temperature of 101. Dad is asleep on the couch and mom is in bed, I think I am going to pass out on the floor now.

Dog needs love 2

It started out with Josh, he got sick with temperature and upset stomach. He got over his a week or two ago. Meagan was next with just a temperature. Meagan was down from Monday through Wednesday. She went back to school today, but started running a temperature again tonight. Now even dad started running a temperature tonight.

I spent the day following mom around like a shadow, just wanting some love. Mom has been down with a headache several days out of the week as well. But she would lay on the couch and pet my head.

It is hard work keeping track of the sick puppies.... Dad is on his own.

Day at the Fair

Mom and Dad took the biped puppies to a local city caravel last weekend, once again no quadruped puppies were allowed. They met dad’s parents along with dad’s brother and his family. All the kids had a blast doing all of the carnie style things. Attached you will find some pictures. The kids went down a big inflatable slide. Meagan rode a pony… of course. Dad could not convince the kids to climb the rock wall that the Air Force recruiters had setup. Seems to me that they should have had a sand pit instead, but that I don’t think that would not have drawn the people as well.

Josh did opt for the mechanical bull however, and had fun ridding it. The operators were of course easy on him, unlike the boasting 20 somethings that followed. All in all it was a good weekend. The kids were wore out when they got home, and I enjoyed a peaceful day on the weekend, something does not occur to often.

Pictures

A couple of weeks ago Sandi was nice enough to take some family pictures for us, and dad finally got around to tweaking them. He cut out some people from some pictures and placed them all in one. Dealing with this many people increases the odds that some one blinks or looks away. Notice the most important member of the family is missing… yea I was not invited.

Late afternoon fog...

Dad, being the eternal child, picked up a fog machine on sale a few weeks ago and decided to try it out. Dad powered it up and let it spray a 60 second burst of fog, that fogged up the entire house. He and the biped puppies could not smell anything, but I could. It was not a bad smell, not even enough to entice me to go outside. I just observed the entire event from my comfortable spot on the couch. The kids had a blast running around the house, playing in it and using laser pointers as light sabers.

After a bit the biped puppies lost interest and went back to watching cartoons on the TV, and dad opened up the house to let the smoke out. I think his action had more to do with mom getting out of the shower, where she had been up to this point. Dad snapped some pictures of the kids watching TV with a little of the fog still left. Remind you of an 80’s movie?

They’re here….
