Halloween

Mom and Dad took the two biped puppies to the fall festival hosted by the city of Bryant. It was just what you would expect from a small town fall festival, down the local fire department having a bonfire. The kids had a great time. Josh dressed up as a zombie and Meagan sported a cat costume.

The biped puppies enjoyed the games, including the old fashioned bobbing for apples. Dad caught a great shot of Josh coming up empty mouthed. Meagan went in for the kill, and came up with an apple, but due to dead camera batteries, dad missed it.

The bipeds also enjoyed a hay ride with mom. However this hay ride was a haunted one, with people dressed up jumping out of the woods. After the ride they warmed up by the bonfire, then hit the booths again before heading home.

Weekend Out

Well… Mom, Dad and the biped puppies spent this weekend in Prim, Arkansas. They took Kim’s parents to a little cabin nestled in a valley with its own personal water fall called longbow cabins. How is that for a view from the back window? Poppa took the ATV up and gave the kids rides up and down the roads.

They also did some hiking along the nice quiet stream. However dad went out early Saturday morning to get some real quiet time in with out the kids and to take some pictures. The biped puppies had a blast, jumping from rock to rock over the stream, and collecting rocks to throw in.

Woven Throw

Last Christmas Dad got mom a coupon for a custom made throw. Well due to life being in the way, and putting off selecting a picture, they redeemed the coupon a couple of weeks ago. Well they just got the 54" by 70" trow this week.

Mom and Dad love it. The picture is woven in to the throw, not painted or printed on it. It is 100% cotton, and even washable. Dad found it at the Discovery.Com store, but they no longer have it, and you can not buy it directly from the company. The problem now is finding someone who they can buy the coupons from now. So if you know of anybody please let me know!

Its all fun and games till someone cries.

It all started the other night Josh tried (and succeeded to some degree) to scare dad. It was the kids bedtime and after the nightly prayer and everyone had done their one good thing about today and their one bad thing about today. Josh hid behind his door, and jumped out to scare dad when he came in to tuck him in.

If you know my owner at all, you know he was not going to let this go.

A few nights later it was Meagan’s turn to clean off the table thus Josh was told to go get in the shower, but first place the clothes into the dryer from the washer. Dad then saw this as the perfect chance to get the biped puppy back. Dad slipped out of the room and hid in the dark behind the bathroom door… and waited.

After a while dad heard the hall lights clicking on, as neither child can walk past a light switch and leave it in the off position. When dad heard the rustling and saw the bedroom light kick on, he peeked around the door and said boo.

Mush to dads surprise Meagan with a scared look on her face was in mid air, and the crumpled to the ground crying. After major consoling the tears stopped. Then Dad and Meagan derived a plan to get Josh back two fold.

Dad instructed Meagan to lay face down the bed because she could not stop laughing. Dad yelled for Josh in a very loud and deep tone indicating that he was in major trouble. When he entered the room he saw Meagan lying on the bed and assumed she was crying. He tried to ask what he had done wrong, but dad instructed him to just quit, as he knew what he had done.

As dad lifted Josh over his lap, he noticed the gears turning in his eyes trying to nail down just what it was that Dad had found out. After being placed over his lap Dad then whispered in his ear… “Did I get you back for hiding behind the door?”

With a look of such relief and laughing Josh could only reply that “I think I peed a little.”

At that point Meagan rolled over grinning ear to ear, and three proceeded to wrestle on the bed till Mom broke it up and ushered the two bipeds to bed.

Long Nights...

Dad and Josh have continued to play every penny out of the new version of Halo. They have finished the game on normal and went back through it on the next harder setting of Heroic. While going through the game on Heroic they found the skulls that were hidden in the game. Now they are going back through with some of the skulls turned on, trying to get some of the point achievements.

Then to top it all off… Dad has also been playing on line with some friends trying to complete the game on Legendary (The hardest setting). So what does all this mean for those of us not infected with the flood? This means mom got to spend a lot of time reading, and Meagan playing her DS. Mom is cool with it so far because dad has been very conscience to still spend time with the family. However that might come to abrupt end if dad’s halo dreams continue and cause him to melee her in the middle of the night.
