Well mom and dad are on a home improvement kick. It started with them installing a screen door over the carport door a few days ago. First they to cut away part of the door jam to get it to fit. Then once they got it in, they found when they closed the door the knob hit the glass of the door. I had to google a few of the words dad let go, and I think he used a few out of context, and a few others are not physically possible. Dad worked the next day in the rain building back up the wood they had cut away, and got the door installed.

He started yesterday pulling down some of the gutters so he could paint the house. Yesterday went well, with no release of words. Things may change as the work continues. I halfway expect him to get fed up and just paint the entire house one color, rock, windows and all.

The grandparents head home this coming weekend from their trip to Alaska. I heard dad tell mom, they were having a blast, seeing the wildlife, and walking on glaciers. I guess it will not be many more generations that glaciers will just be a little piece of ice up north a bit larger than the size of an ice cube.
