Vacation?

Mom, dad and the biped puppies just got back Sunday from their vacation to Branson over Thanksgiving. They were very glad to be home.

The vacation started on the tail of a very hard week. If you will remember they had several things break on them, and a stomach virus made the rounds.

The trip started out Thursday, but as dad was checking over the truck he found that a tire had warped on the sidewall. Evidently that is a very bad thing. Dad checked the other three and found no warping but did find cracks on the side wall that ran around the tire just below the tread, (also a bad thing). So before the trip could even start, they had to go by Wal-Mart and pickup 4 new tires for the truck. This delayed them by just over 3 hours, but the delay was nothing compared to the safety of the family.

They did not arrive in time to do anything on Thursday night but hit the ground running late Friday morning. They started by going to a new shopping center and the big black Friday sales, but did not get to spend long there, and mom was pulled away like a cat off of a tree, so the family could go to Silver Dollar City.
Mom and Dad discussed how disappointed they were with several things at Silver Dollar city. While a new section was added for kids, that was nice for younger bipeds, several kid shows had been retooled. At the detriment to the kids having a fun interactive show singing Christmas carols were now single acts of non-interactive story telling that a majority of kids lost interest in fairly quickly.

Sunday before heading back home, they stopped back by the mall to allow mom to do her Christmas shopping that she was unable to complete on Friday. Dad tried to be sneaky and pick up a small Tim Cotterill frog that mom fell in love with called Forest. However this being the first piece of artwork that Dad bought from a gallery, dad did not know there would be paperwork to fill out, and mom caught him. Needless to say, mom received her present early.

All in all they are very glad to be home. And I will keep the tails of the wild parties I threw in the shop building to my self, the attendees, and the FBI.
